~Am I on the right track or is it more of the same?~

As you know, I am on a mission to redecorate my formal lounge. I desperately want a new sofa (preferably the ditte sofa fromhttp://anthropologie.com/) in a new bright (perhaps brave) fabric. I keep on going back to the florally, romantic, french, fabrics like the Designer Guild range or a luxurious velvet from the elegance range from Warwick fabrics. But, maybe that is just more of the same. Perhaps I should go for a modern bright fabric like those from Rubie Green? Please help!
